Parts of this game really used to freak me out, particularly the second major area of the game, the part where there’s mist everywhere. The game relies mostly on dark colors, adding an ominous tone to the game. In a lot of ways, this game is actually quite superior to Zelda II.
Syd Lexia: This is a great RPG in the same vein as Zelda II: The Adventure of Link. It is up to you to climb the World Tree, cleanse the water, destroy the Evil One, and restore prosperity to the land. The Evil One has turned the otherwise peaceful Dwarves into monsters and poisoned the water supply. You learn that meteorites have fallen to earth and brought The Evil One with them. You return to your hometown, the Elven castle town of Eolis, after an absence of many years to find it nearly abandoned and in poor repair.
